He is currently Research & International Affairs manager at the National Institute of tuberculosis and lung diseases (2008-present), Health policy consultant at the Iranian Parliament Research Institute (2009-present), Member of “Health System Research” Council at the Shaheed Beheshti Medical University (2006-present), Director of Education Department of “Center for Clinical Excellence” at the Shaheed Beheshti Medical University (2007-present), Member of “Clinical Excellence Council” at the Shaheed Beheshti Medical University (2007-present), Director of the “Medical Research Forum” at the Faculty of Medicine, Shaheed Beheshti Medical University (2007-present), Director of the “Research Focus Groups” project at the Shaheed Beheshti Medical University (2006 –present) and a CPR trainer, Avicenna private hospital since 2006.

He has received extensive medical training is areas such as Health Policy from the World Health Organization, Chris Mury Foundation (2009), Health economy workshop (2007), Research management (2006) and Medical genetics certification from the European Society of Genetics, among many other trainings.

He has a long experience in researching issues such as the Quality assessment of primary emergency medical services of University hospitals in Tehran (2006), Prevalence and causes of low vision and blindness in Khouzestan (an Iranian province) (2006), Production of corneal transplant preservative solution (2005), and Comparison of anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Indomethacin and Diclofenac after penetrating radial keratotomy (2005), etc.

He has jointly presented research papers in international congresses covering themes such as “Prevalence of congenital cataract in Iranian new borns” during 19th Congress of European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) in Amsterdam (2001), “The role of suturing technique in corneal astigmatism after penetrating keratoplasty in keratoconus” during the 21st Congress of the ESCRS in Munich (2003), “Incidence of postoperative uveitis, comparison between hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose and sodium hyaluronate”.during the 21th Congress of the ESCRS in Munich (2003) and many more.

He has also participated in the publication of important articles such as “A randomized, placebo-controlled clinical trial of intravitreal Triamcinolone for refractory diabetic macular edema”, Int Ophthalmol (2007), “Surgical management of retinal detachment in highly myopic eyes with macular hole”, Ophthalmic Surg Lasers Imaging (2007), and “Comparison of the effect of three suturing techniques on post-keratoplasty astigmatism in keratoconus”, Cornea (2006).
