CACCI Secretariat Executives Visit Ceylon Chamber of Commerce
CACCI Director-General Dr. Darson Chiu on 12 November visited the headquarters of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce in Colombo, Sri Lanka, accompanied by Deputy Director General Mr. Amador Honrado. The CACCI executives warmly received by Ms. Alikie Perera, Deputy Secretary General and Financial Controller of the Chamber, and Ms. Lilakshi de Mel, Senior Assistant Secretary General and CACCI Pivotal Person for the Chamber.
During the meeting, the visiting CACCI executives informed Ms. Perera and Ms. De Mel that the 40th CACCI Conference will be held in Manila, Philippines in November 2026, and took the opportunity to invite them to organize a delegation from the Chamber and join other CACCI members in next year’s annual gathering which marks the 60th Anniversary of the Confederation.
Dr. Chiu informed them that a number of important activities are lined up for the Conference, including the election of CACCI officers who will serve for the next two-year term from 2026 to 2028, and the CACCI Awards to be given under four categories, namely, Asia-Pacific Young Entrepreneur Award, Asia-Pacific Woman Entrepreneur Award, Hydropower and Clean Energy Award, and Local Chamber Award (Big Chamber and Small Chamber categories), and encouraged them to take active participation in these activities.
For their part, Ms. Perera and Ms. De Mel requested Dr. Chiu and Mr. Honrado to help promote to CACCI members the upcoming “Sri Lanka Economic and Investment Summit 2025” scheduled to take place on 2-3 December at the Shangri-la Hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This year’s Summit will carry the theme ‘Gateway to Growth – Asia’s Emerging Opportunity’.
