CACCI & ICC webinar on Preventing Online Scams and Fraud on 8 October 2026

The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) are pleased to invite you and your colleagues to join the upcoming webinar on “Preventing Online Scams and Fraud,” to be held on Thursday, 8 October 2026, at 14:00 Taipei Time.

INTRODUCTION

Online scams and fraud have become an increasingly sophisticated and complex cross-border challenge for businesses and consumers. Criminal networks are exploiting digital platforms, communications networks, financial systems, and emerging technologies to conduct fraudulent activities at greater scale and across multiple jurisdictions.

At the same time, differences in legal, regulatory, and operational frameworks can make coordinated prevention, information sharing, investigation, and enforcement more difficult. Addressing these challenges therefore requires stronger cooperation among governments, financial institutions, technology companies, telecommunications providers, and other stakeholders.

This webinar jointly organized by ICC and CACCI will bring together representatives from several industries to exchange practical experiences and perspectives on preventing, detecting, and disrupting online scams and fraud. The discussion will also examine the policy, regulatory, and operational conditions needed to strengthen cooperation across sectors and jurisdictions.

THEMES FOR DISCUSSION

  1. The evolving landscape of online scams and fraud
  2. Industry approaches to the prevention, detection, and disruption of online scams and fraud
