CACCI and the Taiwan International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF) co-hosted an event titled “Code Blue: Digital Solutions for a Changing Ocean” on July 21, 2025 in New York that explored how digital tools can enhance the resilience of island nations and support sustainable ocean gouvernance. This special event was held in parallel to the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) meeting convened from July 14 to 24, 2025, under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).

Speakers from the World Resources Institute, Center for International Private Enterprise, Sustainable Ocean Alliance, and Human Impacts Institute, shared insights on leveraging technology, youth leadership, and cross-sector collaboration to drive sustainable ocean solutions.

CACCI, Senior Officer Wenju Liao highlighted the importance of cross-sector partnerships in advancing ocean resilience. With a network spanning 27 countries, CACCI recognizes that the long-term resilience of its member economies is closely tied to the health of the ocean. Liao emphasized that the private sector—through its capacity to innovate, scale, and adapt—plays a critical role in shaping a sustainable blue economy.

CACCI’s collaboration with TaiwanICDF reflects shared values: a commitment to capacity-building, resilience, and inclusive growth. Events like this help translate those values into action by promoting practical, collaborative solutions to shared challenges. Sustainable development, she noted, cannot happen in silos—public-private partnerships are essential to achieving large-scale impact for the ocean, climate, and communities.
