SMF Vice President Mr. Melvin Tan, in his opening remarks at the welcome networking dinner on November 11, gave a quick recap of day one of the Conference.
He said that the discussions during the morning’s sessions focused on empowering SMEs and entrepreneurs across our region, exploring strategies for sustainable growth in sectors like agriculture, textiles, and others. The APAC Green Alliance, a new initiative aimed at driving sustainability across the Asia-Pacific, was also announced.

In conclusion, Mr. Tan pointed out that a conference like the one jointly held by CACCI and SMF is only as valuable as the connections made and insights shared. He encouraged everyone to join conversations, ask questions, offer perspectives and bring a unique voice and expertise to strengthen the dialogue.
“Tonight, though, is our chance to relax a bit and take time to build those personal connections. Whether you’re meeting someone for the first time or reconnecting with old colleagues, tonight is an opportunity to spark ideas, find new collaborations and foster friendships that will carry us forward,” Mr. Tan said.
