Three New Training Seminars on International Trade Terms offered in May-June 2026
The Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) is pleased to invite your Chamber to host our Spring 2026 Training Sessions. These sessions consist of three one-day seminars focused on Incoterms 2020 and related international trade and finance topics.
The seminars provide a unique opportunity for your members—especially bankers, trade finance professionals, corporate import/export specialists, lawyers, and auditors—to deepen their understanding of international trade practices and payment mechanisms.
Proposed Seminars
(1) New Revision of International Trade Terms (Incoterms 2020) – One Day
- Essential knowledge for exporters, importers, traders, carriers, freight forwarders, insurers, bank risk managers, internal auditors, lawyers, and academics.
- Detailed discussion on Incoterms 2020, their practical application, and recent updates since January 2020.
(2) Advanced Seminar on Payment and Security Instruments in Foreign Trade – One Day
- Understanding international payment conditions, risks, and costs.
- Proper use of documentary credits, guarantees, standbys, pre- and post-shipment finance.
- Insights into receivable finance, ESG considerations, compliance, and recent trends in international trade finance.
(3) Advanced Seminar on Incoterms 2020 and Documentary Credits – One Day
- Practical training on ICC ISBP 821 and how Incoterms 2020 links to standard documentation and payment conditions.
- Hands-on exercises covering documentary credit operations: applications, SWIFT messages, amendments, advising, confirmation, document examination, and common challenges with solutions.

Attendees will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of contracts of sale and associated risks.
- Become familiar with Incoterms 2020 and their impact on international trade and finance.
- Learn the relationship between payment terms and trade terms for more effective risk management.
Trainer
The seminars will be conducted by Mr. Pavel Andrle, an experienced Trade Finance Trainer and Consultant, and long-standing member of the ICC Banking Commission and Commission of Commercial Law and Practice.
Hosting Opportunities
Chambers interested in hosting may choose one or more seminars and adjust the programs according to their members’ needs. Options include:
- More comprehensive sessions on documentary credits and financing.
- Inclusion of practical case studies, discussions, or new topics.
CACCI recommends hosting at least two seminars to maximize impact.
To facilitate Mr. Andrle’s itinerary across Asia, CACCI proposes the following periods:
- Week of May 11-15, 2026
- Week of May 25–29, 2026
