CACCI President meets YEGAP Chairman in Takamatsu
On April 28 2026, CACCI President Peter McMullin AM, acompanied by his wife Ruth, traveled to Takamatsu where they were warmly welcomed by YEGAP Chairman Mr. Hiromi Aoki. Takamatsu is Hiromi’s hometown.
During the holiday visit, the CACCI President indicated that despite the fact that in recent months traveling overseas has become more expensive and complicated, he believes that face-to-face meetings are very important in order to continue building deep and lasting relationships across borders. He reiterated that those are the ideals that Chamber of Commerce movement was built on.
The holiday visit was a good opportunity for both leaders to coordinate two exciting CACCI and YEGAP trips on the horizon:
(1) From May 25 to 28, CACCI President Peter McMullin AM will lead a delegation to Timor-Leste, ASEAN's newest member. The trip will create the opportunity to link two of President McMullin's long term projects. His first project has been the Good Business Foundation's work in helping businesses in Timor-Leste and the personal relationships with the President and Prime Minister. His second project has been his tenure as CACCI President, where he has been leading a well established business network of 27 countries across the Asia-Pacific region.
He is inviting CACCI members to join him on this trip to Timor-Leste to observe this emerging market and discover opportunities.
(2) From July 27 to 31, CACCI President Peter McMullin AM will visit Singapore. On the 29th July 2026, he, along with CACCI Vice President Mr. Lennon Tan will lead a CACCI Presidential Visit hosted by the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) that will prove to be memorable and productive. On either side of the CACCI Presidential Visit there will be optional events. The first will be the opportunity to participate in the very first ‘Good Business Day’; an exclusive day where close connections will be made, insights from experts delivered, and open and honest conversations about how we go about truly delivering purpose and profit through business. On the 30th and the 31st, CACCI President Peter McMullin AM will be participating in the ASEANext Forum, hopefully in the company of other CACCI members.
