CACCI and YEGAP Strengthen Regional Engagement in Japan
CACCI and YEGAP participated in the 45th Japan YEG National Convention held in Isesaki, Gunma, Japan on February 26 to 27, 2026, organized by the Japan Young Entrepreneurs Group (Japan YEG). The trip also included related engagements in Tokyo aimed at strengthening YEGAP’s regional partnerships and expanding its network among young entrepreneurs and partner organizations.
CACCI President Peter McMullin AM and Vice President for Entrepreneurship Stuart Thompson joined many of the activities together with CACCI Secretariat's Senior Officers Abby Moreno and Teresa Liu.
26 February 2026 - MOU Signing Ceremony and Welcome Dinner
As part of the roster of events for the 45th National Convention, Japan YEG’s Global Networking Committee held an MoU Signing Ceremony at Kasuri no Sato in Isesaki, Gunma. The ceremony marked the formalization of cooperation between Japan YEG and several overseas partner organizations and highlighted the importance of strengthening international collaboration among young entrepreneur groups.
During the ceremony, Japan YEG signed Memoranda of Understanding with the following organizations:
- Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB)
- Young Entrepreneurs Association of Laos (YEAL)
- Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association (MYEA)
- Singapore Business Federation Young Business Leaders Network (YBLN)
- Malaysian Association of Young Entrepreneurs (MAYA)
The heads of delegation for Brunei, Laos, and Myanmar signed the MoU onsite, while Singapore and Malaysia were signed virtually over Zoom. Signing from the Japan side was Mr. Tomoichiro Ono, Chairman of Japan YEG.
The program also included brief remarks from existing partner organizations:
- Young Entrepreneurs Association of Cambodia (YEAC)
- Third Wednesday Association Young Entrepreneurs Group (TWA-YEG)
- Philippine Young Entrepreneurs Association (PYEA)

CACCI President Peter McMullin AM also delivered remarks during the program, highlighting the importance of international cooperation among young entrepreneurs and the role of such partnerships in strengthening regional business networks.
In the evening, delegates attended the Welcome Dinner at Fukuichi Ryokan in Ikaho, Gunma, which provided an opportunity for networking among Japan YEG members, international delegates, and partner organizations.
27 February 2026 - Visit to Subaru and Japan YEG National Convention Commemorative Ceremony

Delegates joined a visit to the Subaru factory in the morning of 27 February 2026. The visit offered a close look into the company’s car manufacturing process, which integrates automated systems with manual assembly operations.
Afterwards, delegates proceeded to the Japan YEG National Convention Commemorative Ceremony, where over 12,000 Japan YEG members and guests from across Japan and overseas were in attendance. The event highlighted the organization’s activities and achievements and reinforced its commitment to strengthening both domestic and international networks.
CACCI President Peter McMullin AM and the other international heads delegation were also invited onstage to be recognized and give brief greetings.
