During the CACCI Presidential Visit to Singapore on 29 July 2026, key CACCI officers led by President McMullin met with Dr. Janil Puthucheary, Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment (MSE).

The MSE is responsible for the formulation and implementation of policies related to the environment, water and food of Singapore. It is committed to providing Singaporeans with a clean and sustainable environment, and resilient supplies of safe food and water. It works with its three statutory boards – the National Environment Agency, Singapore’s National Water Agency, and the Singapore Food Agency – to achieve its mission through innovation, vibrant partnerships and co-operation across the private, public and people sectors.

The meeting with Minister Puthucheary was held at the SMF headquarters. The issues discussed during the meeting included the following:

• Helping SMEs through the Climate Transition – How can CACCI collaborate with Singapore SMEs
• Circular economy and resource resilience – how Economies under CACCI coverage can collaborate with Singapore for mutual benefit
• Technology, Ai and Innovation in Sustainability. How can CACCI and its National Chambers and Association work with Singapore to leverage on technology and Ai to grow together.
• Climate adaptation and business resilience. How can countries and companies share experiences and collaboration
• Regional and Global Cooperation with Singapore as ASEAN Chair next year, how can Global Organisations like CACCI work with Singapore to leverage on each other’s strengths.
• Food Resilience and Water Supply collaboration.
